This week felt less productive than last, but let’s run through it anyway.
This is another entry in my accountability journal, which gets posted to many of my social media places: my website, my Deviantart, or my Patreon.
First, Output: I mentioned the Batman campaign idea, and that I would be making a Magpie Arcanum post for it. No actual progress on the campaign, as I was focused on prepping for D&D. I really need to figure out the map of Gotham next. That, and a list of things to think that I keep adding to are my current concerns.
My list for spelljammer thoughts that I need to work into the ruleset is getting pretty long. I don’t have a good “office” to sit and write in. My personal set up has too many games and distractions. Maybe this upcoming week I’ll try to go to the library for a bit and work.
Projects for the upcoming week also include:
- I learned while writing this that you can’t actually read the blogs on my website! I know the general “why” of why it stopped working, but I need to spend some time digging out my PHP/Wordpress debugging hat and dive in to repair it.
- I’ve had an idea for a new LitRPG story, one where all the bits of VRMMO stories that I don’t like are skipped and mocked. So that’s been taking up some thought cycles
Oh! I had a dream this week that was basically a fan-fiction of a story I’ve been reading and thinking about. I’ve not had that before, but somehow, a conversation about that gave me the really dumb idea of Isekainda, Porte Fantasy. I’m hoping to get a bit more of that sketched and made into comic some time before I share this really, really dumb project.
Work has been busy. This week, we had 2 prereleases, next week is the big magic release, and who knows how rough that’s gonna be, especially with a work meeting.
I went through my google drive this week, and did a general sort of my main folder. I have a lot of files, many of them containing scraps of whatever idea I was working on at a given time. I also have a LOT of 4e character sheets on there. I’ll be cleaning it up more, combining docs with tabs, and seeing interesting story ideas that I’ve had in the past. Maybe some will be acted on? who knows!
