So… comic work has been at a stand still, because my computer had a broken fan and was over heating and shutting whenever I opened GiMP to actually work on comics. But we’re up and running now, so I have a lot to catch up on, but we’ll get there.
Oh, and in this comic? uh… I hate phones. I might start having video calls show up, because this cell phone thing isn’t working artistically.
This feels like a great strip to transition from! Yay! I’m getting really sick of this store front.
Hmm. Not pleased with how simple and blah this page is, but its out now. So yeah.
Eh. Can’t think of words. Spent too long thinking of them. Bleh
Did anyone notice the odd ceiling bit in the previous strip? No? right. Moving on.
Overlaping white bubbles. Sheer genius.
Took an hour today to name Rio Torpedo. He might never show up in the comic, but it was a thing I did.
I decided against a sound effect bubble and lines in the second panel. Admittedly, it was a “Hey, I forgot to do those” but, now that I look at it, I think the motion is carried without making the panel more crowded? What do you think?
So this thought process shouldn’t take a full panel, but I needed the beat to happen as they did. Not sure how I could do it better.
My lack of desire to make backgrounds is coming up here. This should be a large room full of shelves, but, alas, we’re going to settle for some random shapes on the floor.
How many beat panels can Matt get away with this chapter?
This many, and more after, I assure you. But we’re almost out of the prep for the action, I assure you!
