Oh good, no snakes this panel. I can talk again.
I noticed I was leaving off Squirtle’s eyelashes. I should probably go back and edit all those earlier pages. But instead, I’m going to scribble a note in my notes and do it in The Future!
Things like the Pokemon Text saying squirtle’s name before we see squirtle feels like I’m telegraphing things too much for the gag. No one else cares, I’m sure.
Decided to not put effort into the other rocket’s Pokemon. Using color as a crutch again, but it is much faster than doing a good job…
I debated putting Tim in the back of those last 2 panels. Decided it would be more work than required to make an over-crowded scene. The more work may have been the more important.
I think that’s a decent snap, though…
Man, In my original notes, this tackle happened in the previous comic. Then I rewrote this strip to expand the squirtle tackle to be all 4 panels. So I have no idea what tommorrow’s comic will be. We’ll see what I can cook up…
Not super excited about my pokemon here. Blastoise isn’t bad, but Growlithe is a step backwards. I don’t even know what’s going on with Natu. Le sigh.
It has been a long time since we’ve seen a pokeball effect. I think it was page 18, he said looking it up so it’d be right. That’s like 122 strips! A lot for a core mechanic. But I think everyone having one always out pokemon is very thematic and how I would run a pokemon RPG. So there.
So I decided to try something a little different in the third panel. What do you think of that?
Srsly, I’d love some feedback. Does that ruin things? Does it make you rethink the previous page? What?
