If people ever ask me (no one has yet, probably because I keep taking about it…) if I “have any regrets from this comic?” the answer is a quick and hardy yes. The first 2 items of regret are “Over use of the color blue in the Pokemart” and “Making the Mohawk a common feature” and “Putting a blue Mohawk in the overblue Pokemart”
You know, I want to assure you guys the whole comic run isn’t going to be like this. Sure, there will be solemn and serious scenes, but, honestly, its probably going to be more gags and ridiculous storylines. There are shenanigans on the distant horizon. I promise.
Man, I have been waiting SO long for this strip.
How many beat panels can Matt get away with this chapter?
This many, and more after, I assure you. But we’re almost out of the prep for the action, I assure you!
It was suggested that Rachael should have a ball to have been bouncing in this scene. If I had heard that earlier, I would have used that idea. But it would have been better in yesterday’s comic
Yay beat panels! Speedy Speedy beat panels!
Hey Matt, do you regret the color blue?
Yes. Yes I do.
Eh, not super pleased with panel 1. I’ve been complaining a lot in commentary recently. I should try to be more positive.
I’m positively not pleased with that first panel.
Ouef, that’s where all the Pokemon have been, hmm?
This isn’t quite what I wanted in my head. If I ever go back and redo things, 10 years down the line, this would be one I would want to re-address. I’m not happy with what I got, although I like the idea.
Honestly, if I had to run this again, I’d probably just go 100% to Team Rocket backstory, not having this narrator. I think there is some fun story in Giovanni and his rise of power.
201 RiGP strips! W00t!
According to my math, this is actually my 200th comic in the Rachael in Gameland series! Crazy! I’ll have a special page tommorrow in celebration (but also for storytelling. Mostly for story.)
Man, aren’t there Pokemon in my Pokemon fan comic?
