Mad Matt Watches A Star Trek: ENT S4E15 Affliction (Part 1)

This is my series where I watch a random star trek episode, and write my thoughts as they occur. There are likely spoilers.

Ya know, I’m curious about what the break down in quality when compared with number of words in the title. I’m not sure if my Excel-Fu is strong enough to make that table. I’ll look at it in the future. Continue reading “Mad Matt Watches A Star Trek: ENT S4E15 Affliction (Part 1)”

D&D Book Review: Xanathar’s Guide to Everything

Remember when I reviewed D&D books? I’ve bought so many since then, my tastes have changed, and I’ve grown as a person. But I never really did review more books. And with a new one out, its time to dust off the old 10 Point Scale and give it a once over.

Convention Report: GalaxyFest 2017

This last weekend, I had the opportunity to go to GalaxyFest2017. A friend of mine needed help with his booth, so I got in as a vendor, which was an interesting experience. Here’s what I learned, what I thought, and so on. (Oh, Carl’s site is Tale Spin Games. Cool product, check it out!) Continue reading “Convention Report: GalaxyFest 2017”

A quick rating of the other 5e manuals

So, after not a whole lot of careful consideration, we have a 10 point review metric set up for RPG manuals! Huzzah! So we might as well throw some numbers at things! You know that big analysis I did for Vog’s Guide to Monsters? That’s not what’s going on here! We have 4 books to cover in one article, so we need to hop straight in! Continue reading “A quick rating of the other 5e manuals”

D&D Book Review: Volo’s Guide To Monsters (9/10)

I’ve been wanting to do book reviews on here for a bit. And, since I just got a new book and I’ve been bemoaning my famine of content, I guess it’s time to do this thing and see what I can do to make it work. In my mind, the perfect review is my 10 Point Review system, which is sadly not calibrated to reviewing D&D manuals. Yet. But that’s not the main point of this article. Hopefully, by the time I’m done here, I’ll have finished my metric. But let’s get into my thoughts and impressions of the book, hmm? Continue reading “D&D Book Review: Volo’s Guide To Monsters (9/10)”
